Coloring Sorrow

Raindrops on roses
That sparkles like glass
Gossamer threads
And dew-laden grass
Around me I see all
The beauties that flow
From storms that besiege
This world here below
I wonder if ought can
Be so high a cost
As to see heaven’s beauty
And not known the frost
A world full of sorrow
And shedding of tears
Can teach us much more
Than a world without fears

Grace, very well written....the poem seems to be set to the beat of' the song 'A Few of my favourite things' Â from the Sound of Music, not sure if that was intentional or not, but I read it to that beat, all in all a very well written piece....cheers
Hmm... That's interesting. The first line was actually taken from "A Few Of My Favorite Things" on purpose, but I didn't copy the rhythm intentionally. I'm not surprised though, since I took that first line. :) Thanks for pointing that out - very interesting.
Thanks!
