Coloring Sorrow

Coloring Sorrow

Raindrops on roses
That sparkles like glass
Gossamer threads
And dew-laden grass
Around me I see all
The beauties that flow
From storms that besiege
This world here below
I wonder if ought can
Be so high a cost
As to see heaven’s beauty
And not known the frost
A world full of sorrow
And shedding of tears
Can teach us much more
Than a world without fears

Grace, very well written....the poem seems to be set to the beat of' the song 'A Few of my favourite things'  from the Sound of Music, not sure if that was intentional or not, but I read it to that beat, all in all a very well written piece....cheers

Hmm... That's interesting. The first line was actually taken from "A Few Of My Favorite Things" on purpose, but I didn't copy the rhythm intentionally. I'm not surprised though, since I took that first line. :) Thanks for pointing that out - very interesting.

Thanks!
