ye olde circus freaks

Acrobats in leotards swinging high
Elephants and Magicians passing by

School children in groups of four are watching
Clowns wearing bright green jumpsuits are marching

Seals flipping balls parading in the yard
a joker laughs discretely hiding cards

A popcorn stand gives tasty treats away
A fortune teller's had her very last day

twelve tiny men spring from a rusty car
An audience wait to applaud the star

A gentle giant shows his loving heart
A bearded lady plays a freakish part

Three badly dressed men do stunts on a wire
A twelve year old boy flies through rings of fire

a man with no limbs wrestles bears to win
another clips pegs to pale stretchy skin

The apes wearing costumes keep their disguise
your mind will play tricks to believe your eyes

Night after night, for the following weeks
come to the tent and see our circus freaks
