Yesterday Once More

It seems like only yesterday
I was young and climbing trees
Running through the forest
Scraping arms and knees
Playing tag or hide and seek
Hop-scotch or skipping rope
Making a bow and arrow
Building a periscope
Playing ball on the local lot
Wishing upon a star
Swinging on a hanging vine
Stealing from the cookie jar
Tossing a ball against a wall
Making figures out of clay
Raiding the local apple trees
Jumping in a pile of hay
Cowboys and Indians was my game
Saturday morning cartoons
Running around like hooligans
Acting like silly baboons
Memories all come flooding back
As I sit here and reminisce
Of halcyon days way back when
Filled with pure happiness

I agree with Cherie, But I can't exactly say "Those Kids" Being one myself. I make the best of Every day whether April, June, March or May. I'm not active, but nor am I a couch potato. I sit out under the willows by the river, and relax and think about the life of all. It is soothing to ponder the existence of all under god's Infinite grace. I get a little made fun of, But it is a price I am willing to pay for wisdom.
It's Never to Late to run Like the wind, To play as if it was the Bygone days, for youth is a mindset, Not a condition. Have fun. -Dmitri R.
