Poem -

You.

The misery of the universe.

You.

You.Ā
You belong to the sea and I belong to the sky.
Two things that behold each other’s beauty but can never truly grasp each other.
I am one colossal storm of emotions and you came into my life like the tide, slowly but entirely.Ā
You crashed into me like a tidal wave,
Ā knocking me off my feet.Ā
I can swim and chose not to pick myself back up.Ā
Drowning in the idea of you.
But the waves are pushing me closer to land.
Keeping me away from you.Ā
