You are nothing when
Defeat takes you down,
And your heart becomes bitter.
You are nothing when you let in the dark.
You are nothing when you let scum and other losers
Into your life.
You are nothing when you view, and smile
With your eyes the hurt inflicted upon the innocent.
You are nothing when you don't try to walk away.
You are nothing when you don't respond
To a voice telling you to stop!
You are nothing when you wallow in your own vomit,
As you allow it to transmit, now immune.
To your already defiled thoughts.
You are nothing unless you fight back.
You are nothing until you find your own way.
You are nothing until you find your light.
You are nothing to anyone until you help yourself.
You are nothing until you protect the innocent.
