You Raised Me
 
 
You raised me up from upon cross
Delivered me from my grief and loss
 
Baptized me and witnessed my own rebirth
Led me on an enchanted journey of sky and earth
 
There will be no more call for veils of tears
Yours is the truest love I have known in years
 
Are no more demons that I am hiding from
They have all vanished since you’ve come
 
Stars and constellations light the night sky
A vision of love is reflected in your eyes
 
You brought my aching heart down to the sea
And taught me to spread my wings and fly free
 
Touched my heart when you took me by the hand
Remember we left our pair of footprints in the sand
 
You filled my empty heart with love and affection
Under the starlight we made a heavenly connection
 
You offered me the strength to just be myself
No longer wearing the mask of someone else
 
Your love has placed a magic spell on me
Your love gave me the power to just believe
 
Now I think I could build castles in the sky
Spread my wings and see what it is to fly
 
You have the tears of an angel when you cry
I will no longer allow my good years pass me by
 
I will never forget this gift of love you have given me
Your loving heart has taught me to be always free
