You Wouldn't Stay!

So many occasions that you have missed, birthdays and holidays - without being kissed.

My 24th birthday, I can't really remember. Brianna's 4th birthday, spent alone in September.

My 25th birthday I got a tattoo, says "Renegades Pussycat", that's me and that's you.

Bri's 4th, 5th, and 6th (birthdays) you weren't there. I think it was her 8th you decided to spare.

My 26th through 30th (birthdays) again, were spent alone, anniversaries were the same and to this I am prone.

You made it for her 8th birthday and my 31st one too. Christmas cards and Valentines that say "I'm missing you".

Thanksgiving, when I had no "thanks", that you were far away, birthday wishes never came true, you'd get out, but would not stay!

Anniversaries, there were 6, and the 7th drawing near, my heart's filled with sadness, 'cause again, you aren't here!
