Young Girl, Red Velvet

Young Girl, Red Velvet

This young girl was of only nineteen
She had a beautiful two year old son whom she had to feed
After all that had happened to her
She was desperate and in need

You see just days beforeĀ
Her babies daddy raped her
Ā as their son lay beside her,

He then smashed her head over and over into the concrete wall,
The next day she packed and left because she couldn't take it anymore

She was shakin, scared & so bloody sore,
However these exact feelings felt so familiar as she had felt like this so many times before,
but she felt lucky she still had her son whom she adored.

After she sat for a day wondering what the hell she was going to do,Ā
she realised there was no other way,
Ā she knew what she had to do,Ā

With her hands shaking,
Ā her stomach churning,Ā
she knew this was going to be one hell of a journey

she slipped on stockings, dress & her high heels too
Little did she know that along with all of her belongings, she would lose her innocence too

As she walked through the doors of this sordid place, there was no way she was able to cover the look of fear on her face,
As the women stood around glaring her up and down,Ā
she promised herself she wouldn't let them bring her down

As she was shown around, she ran her fingers along the walls of velvet
They were so soft so red so beautifully Scarlett

As she sat and waited until someone called out her name
She knew from this moment on nothing would ever be the same

As she lay there naked on the bed,
she reminded herself that her son needed to be fed,
her skin shudders as this stranger touches her all over, all that she can do is prey that this will soon be over

as she is laying there a tear falls from her eye & all she wishes for is that she could die

Finally her night was over but she would never be the same and in her mind it was her babies daddy who was to blame

However she had no one to turn too &Ā
so she knew she had to do whatever she had too

it's so wrong when they dont understand & don't know ones story & then they sit around gossiping & acting like they are Ā judge and jury
And As someone said
Don't judge unless you have walked a day in ones shoes,
Life is tough enough for some, stop acting like you've something to prove.

This young girl went through so much,
At the end of the day her soul felt crushed,
It would take years before her heart would mend but she knows it's all in the past and that this is not the end.Ā

This is one hell of heartbreaking piece! But thanks for sharing! I can not write like you do and you are such an awesome writer! You draw the reader in and honestly I can read this ten times and I would not get sick of this at all.. The feels are there and I can feel it. Yes, people indeed judge but they don't know what that person had gone through and all they do is assume and judge a book by its cover. In the bible it also said "Before you judge someone, peck out your eye first." Just wanted to say that your piece is very heartbreaking but can relate to some of us in different ways xoxo
Thank you for sharing again :)Ā
