Young man in a hurry

Young man in a hurry

Slow down young man
on life's corridor
no hall pass do you need now,
stop, reflect
grow, love
you'll arrive sometime, somehow.
Say there young man
have you learned how to grow?
within these grey old walls,
have you heard of a world
that starts life anew
as you learn to rise from the fall.
Hello young man
do you know who you are?
beyond the noise of your peers,
have you delved in the soul
on its darkest night
and from there persevere.
Excuse me young man
have you looked around?
to find you are not alone,
as you sink within self
in vitimhood's realm
remember to exit that zone.
Stop there young man
and think for a while
do you know where you want to be?
for a moment in haste
you'll forever repent
all you need is self honesty.
