Your Golden Heart
 
The wind sweeps across the great divide
Did not make it home but God knows I tried
 
Home is where my affection lives
This heart of mine has so much to give
 
I walked the crooked road for endless miles
Eventually to come home and see you smile
 
My path was overgrown with barbed thorns
But I won’t fear the beast with his horns
 
Love is what I have for you deep in my heart
Were so much better together than apart
 
Love just like a flower in your garden grows
And you’re the greatest love that I know
 
You take away all of the heartache and pain
For it is true love that we’ve both gained
 
Your love unlocks my heart’s chains
And I know that loving you isn’t in vain
 
Take a walk with me arm in arm to the sea
Where together our two hearts will fly free
 
Will you come sit beside me at the sparkling sea?
We could blow kisses into the summer’s breeze
 
 Our pair of footprints left in the sand
How I love you more than any other man
 
Lord bless me with the wings of a dove
So I could carry your burdens away my love
 
My tender heart protected by barbed wire
But I can see that I am the object of your desire
 
Your golden heart sets a thousand ships to sail
On this journey of love we could never fail
 
I can see forever within your blue eyes
My future within your golden heart lies
