Go to sleep now your heart needs a rest
Will you listen to me because I know best?
　
I’m sorry that you’ve been left broken hearted
You’ve been in pain since the day he parted
　
Your tired eyes reflect the undying pain
It has been days and you still feel the same
　
Come allow yourself to slip into a beautiful dream
Pretend you’re on the banks of a trickling stream
　
A tired heart surely needs a rest
I pray your loving heart will be blessed
　
Relationships seem to come and then they go
Doesn’t make it any less hurtful this I know
　
All of your tears now stain your pillow case
I pray for you to find a happier place
　
You’re in the depths of heartache and despair
And you think no one in the world would care
　
Well I am always right here beside you
Whether you’re happy or you’re feeling blue
　
As yet another night draws to it’s close
You’ll find true love this heaven knows
　
I know you think that your life’s a mess
But maybe your parting was for the best
　
Don’t you wish we were in a land far away?
Where we didn’t have the worries of today
　
Close your eyes and try to sleep
Promises as a friend I intend to keep
　
The harvest moon is shining bright
