Your Place In My Heart

Your Place In My Heart

All gone you are
but I still feel you
in my heart,
I often visit your place
and speak to you,
in the tender peace
unlike the last time
of fear and alarm.

Forgive my trembling voice
my teary eye, my despair,
I know you would have just
smiled and ruffled my hair.

But I stand alone, in silence
and take comfort
from the birds that sing,
I´ll always bring fresh flowers
my beautiful friend,
your place will always be Spring.

Being Me

This is just beautiful. The loss is obviously profound because it seeps out of every line...but I a beautiful way. Superbly penned, my friend x
