Poem -

You're Still Here

Take a look in the mirror, what do you see?
Assess yourself lately, are you happy?
I can see your discomfort, sweating through your tee shirt,
Pretending to be unhurt, emotional invert.
Nights in fear.
Searching for freedom, hurting everyone,
Back to where we begun, searching for anyone
You're still here.

Staying disconnected, fear of being rejected.
Cool your passions, ice your heart.
Constantly ripping yourself apart.
Your self reliant, authority defiant, but I can see.
Your heart is crying out, cherish me, cherish me.
