Alaskan Sea Monster

Most of the paranormal stories I share on here were told to me by friends of mine from all over the world, and they have let me use them in my book "Cliff's Mysteries". This story however is one that I personally experienced myself! The picture that I use as the heading of my profile on here was taken at the same beach where my experience occurred.

One day when I was much younger, my family and I went to a beach that we go to many times each year. What’s really nice about it is that we are usually the only people there, and have the whole beach to ourselves!

One Thursday we went there, so my parents must have been on their two week vacation from work in late July-early August at the time. It was a cloudy day, very normal for here, and for the most part it was it was just like any other day at the beach. We walked probably a couple miles and were on our way back.

As we came to the “front” part of the beach, we stopped walking and took a break. My mom and sister looked at sea shells on the ground, and out in the water came a strange creature! It was big, not a rock, not a seal, and definitely not a whale, and after a brief moment it went back into the water. I never seen it before in all the years I’d been there, and not in all the years after that either.

I looked over at my dad, and he asked me,
“Did you just see that?”
And I told him that I had seen it too. He’s lived here for most of his life, and he had never seen anything like it before either.

When I looked around online, I discovered that a “sea monster” was seen in the waters around Kodiak Island in 1969. Its sighting was only reported once, but the crew of the boat that spotted it, were using some of the best radar systems available at that time, and were experienced enough to know that it wasn’t a sea lion, whale, or other normal large sea animal.
