Avalon - a continuing story
Stranded she had no choice but to reveal herself to the very thing that taunts her.
Reluctantly Avalon stepped out onto the lighthouse deck.
She had been a fool to think that she could get some reprieve,
even if it was for just a few short hours. But normality was far from reach
and the Oceans intimidation was damming. Its effect would never relent.
Avalon gripped the lighthouse railing. The Ocean
could see her weakness, sense her hesitation as she looked upon its fury.
Her screams tried to dominate its overpowering roar, but it was was futile.
She slumped down on the floor as the wind mingled with the Oceans spray,
adding itself into the torture.
Her wet clothes clung to her body as the cold set in,
her hair tangled as it lashed around her frozen face.
She trembled in not knowing the outcome of what the Oceans force
would do to her as its anger continued to torment.
A lesson in which the Ocean would never let her forget.
In its eyes her crime was more than it could bare. It had recreated her
as its finest masterpiece and it would never allow her to leave its sanctuary.
Avalon slid her hand along her bare leg. She knew it could be the last time
she would feel whole. Soon a long shiny tale would blend in with her beauty.
She closed her eyes and succumbed as she felt herself slide into its depths.
The Ocean had reclaimed her once again.
