Be careful what you wish for

I awake 9 o’clock every morning like clock work. This morning the birds were singing at a much louder tune than usual. The Sun seem to shine extra bright. Stomach is still empty from the night before. No food in the house no electricity or even running water. I wished I had a better life. I walk to the corner of MLK where I sit and what people called begging I sit here and think to myself I wish I had a better life I would give anything. As I sat there a stranger appeared asking what will you give for a better situation. Without thought without hesitation I’ll give my life for a better tomorrow. When you sleep and wake up your wish will come true he said with a smile on his face. I paid him no mind his presence and look was so off such a weird feeling. He was an odd looking guy. Standing 6 feet 2 inches tall with a black trench coat with the darkest shades you could possibly find. Him standing in front of me all most blocked the entire Sun. Police comes it’s time to leave this corner. Looking in my cup barely making $20 for the day. I get food and head to what I call home. I fell asleep and when I woke it was cold and pouring down raining. A get a knock on the door a man with a envelope he handed it to me and walked away. I sat down to open it to my surprise a check for 5 million dollars. I rushed to the bank this must be a mistake. In 7-10 days the teller said it would clear. On the 7th day it cleared I brought a house. I brought two cars and even found the love of my life. The next 7 years was amazing with a few investments I move then tripled my money. My wife was 7 weeks from her due date we where expecting twins. Once in the delivery room before the birth of my sons. The man reappeared looking like he haven’t aged a day. He walked right to me and said I come for your life. I begged and pleaded but my deal was made I thought for that moment be careful what you wish for.
