Black Rose

The death of us had me mourn through the darkest days. The warmth of the summer sun had lost its glow, it no longer provides its presence to brighten my emotion. Instead the clouds blacken my existence as you lay timeless in my memory. The chains keep you locked to my inner thoughts. I wanted to forget you, cast a shadow over the pain. The endless passion vowed a curse, for now I can't forget it.
Like a thief you've taken my dreams, broken promises stole you away. You were once a gift wrapped without flaw, perfect in my eyes. I was naïve in the light of love.
I have lost but hurt traps me in turmoil, the feelings irate, my soul can't release the torment, my heart the pain. I will never love again because of deceit. Forever I hold my promise with the mark, of the black rose.
