Choices

      Sirens sounding ambulances, police cars, and even firetrucks screeching to a halt outside the bank. A man holds up a gun to the head of a man dressed in a suit and tie, the man says you have two choices. The first choice is that you and everyone else in this building die right here and right now. The second choice is you live and everyone else dies. Either way, I'm getting blood on my hands and people are dying. The man being held at gunpoint slowly turns his head to the right and sees a pregnant woman standing in shock along with her two children who he has seen at his son's school before he turns his head to the left and sees a few more people all shaking in fear and absolute terror. A man of courage in the group of scared and innocent people slowly pulls a gun from his coat but the man holding the gun to the other man removes the gun from his head shoots the man who tried, making him fall to the ground. Silence covers the room the man returns the gun back to the man’s head the man with the gun to the head cried out “You killed him I did not make my choice but you killed him” the other man said in confusion and now anger “what’s the difference he would have died anyway.” “That’s not my point you killed him before I said what I wanted.” “Your right now what’s your choice since you obviously care so dearly on such a stupid question?” The man says “I choose to die as well as all of the others just know you’re not only killing a couple of people who deserve their life but a new life that will be killed before it even experiences a life” The man with the gun shrugged and said “ I don’t care who dies or how many people die and I have no pity for a crowd of people who feel they need their lives nor do I have pity for a man who feels like a hero for spitting out words people want to hear, because in the end we all die and the clock keeps ticking.” the doors of the bank fly open to which the sound of a gunshot is fired.
