The night we kissed

The night we kissed

Her phone vibrates as she receives a text. It was no ordinary text, however. It was from someone who made her blush redder than a beautiful rose and smile like no other. Her face lit up in a delicate glow as the light from her phone was shown on her. She opened the message and was yet again brought into the smile of a youthful child and a blush of a thousand roses. The message read “Hey would you want to meet up tonight?”. The girl could not think of how to respond to such a question and just sent back “sure”. She of course was hoping for something more romantic but the time period she was growing up in was not to the fantasies she so desired. She sat by her phone waiting for a response. She smiled so effortlessly in her beautiful flowered red dress. She tried not to think about what they might do later that night. Hours passed as they texted back and forth until they finally decided to meet up. The girl walked outside of her house and past her driveway and towards the boy. He sat down on her neighbor’s sidewalk to which the girl stood there in an overwhelming amount of possibilities. She finally let out a remark and joked about how awkward it was. To which he responded, “It’s because you’re standing.” The girl giggled and sat down, shifting her dress to make sure she sat proper. Minutes go by of him staring at her in awe while she stared up at the stars. He moves closer and gently put his leg against hers and smiled in almost a smirk. She smiles at him and blushes yet again, revealing her everlasting feelings. She turned away. Everything was perfect; the stars, the wind, the tension between the two. The clock struck ten and the boy jumped up and exclaimed “I have to go, my Dad would kill me if I stay out too late!” The girl jokingly said “okay”. To which he grabbed her into an awkward hug. As their bodies separated he tried to bring her to his lips. For something more than just a hug. The girl jumped back frantically. (it was her first time) He convinced her into the kiss and took her by the waist and gradually put his hands lower. Their lips interlocked into an intense intertwinement of lips. Their feelings for each other grew and into what felt like an eternity or so she thought. They both separated from the embrace and walked their separate ways.

"Everything was perfect" ... then "walked their separate ways".
