Dear Momma

You done allot for me, you tugged me in at night when i was cold and told me stories ....sometimes the same Ole ones, but they never got old. I used to dig in your closet and put on your clothes because i wanted to feel like a grown up. Smeared red lip stick scribbled scrabbled on my lips like a used up coloring book. You cooked for me and my sister too. Green peas, and pork chops, spaghetti, and garlic bread....i loved those foods because i felt like a grown up when i ate it.Every day you would clean the house in your most warn out clothes because you were too pretty to dirty your pretty clothes. Father was just a man who assumed he provided everything. But he was wrong and he was the complete opposite of God. You worked from daylight till the vampires came out.My sister and i slaved our souls at school reading and writing things. But i never understood the concept of you working so hard ,and as "Father" calling him the provider. But father didn't tuck me into bed at night, because father didn't make my sadness go away. Dear Momma your more then just a women to me, your my mom. Your strong and always were from the start. You played my mother and father, the real provider was YOU. As i kid, i didn't pick it up as much though i knew you were my happiness. Now i can truly say...thank you for everything my dear momma.
