Death on the Apocalypse

Apocalypse
n. 1 An event involving great destruction. 2 (the Apocalypse) the final destruction of the world, as described in the biblical book of Revelation. apocalyptic adj.
If an apocalyptic event is merely causing great destruction, then I am sorry to report this but you all contribute to the Apocalypse daily. Doing your daily routine involving things all humans have become so accustomed to, oblivious to (or just ignoring) the dangers. Since the dawn of live I have watched new things grow, inspecting them carefully, and then finding sorrow when I realise they are growing into their own destruction. Humans love to blame me for their end but all I do is carry them away after the weight of living has crushed them. Death does not cause destruction, I end it.
The Apocalypse is not some scheduled event that will occur at a certain time, it is an on going one. Yes, the other three horsemen and I are leaders in its' happening but we are not the only ones taking part. You all are. What I'm saying is that I am not the bad guy here (the other three will have to speak for themselves, though). Think about it, as soon as something starts to live it also starts to die. Not to be too negative here but that's the sad truth. Humans chose me in the garden of Eden and now they fear me for simply doing the only task I'm good for. They don't blame bees for making honey or fish for swimming, so why do they blame me for killing? What else do they expect death to be doing? Gardening? Let me tell you, I'm not a very good gardener, my plants always die...which is to be expected I suppose.
Now why am I trying to explain myself? Is it to make you feel bad and realise your wrong ways? Maybe a little, but it's not like you haven't heard it before. The truth is: I'm bored. With all this global warming and wars and dares and suicides, humans are doing a great job at killing themselves. With all their inventions causing health and environmental risks, I don't have to be so creative with disease and wild animals anymore. Those are still in the mix but most times even that is caused by humans. If you're going to keep a tiger as a pet, don't be so surprised at my arrival. Also, don't get me started on their medication, "let's cure cancer by killing almost every other sell in the body." How they still consider me as harsh I do not understand.
What humans also seem to constantly forget is that I am not their final end. I only end their life on earth, and from what I've seen they do not like the planet very much because the majority of them are killing earth along with themselves. I do pity the few actually trying to make a difference and sometimes I wish I could help, by maybe killing off all the greedy ones behind the cause of it all. But I have never been one for a personal vendetta. Maybe if more tried to make a difference we might all be able to stick around a little longer. Just because I kill you guys doesn't mean I want your species to go extinct. What would I be left to do when all mortal beings are dead? It's not like I have any other hobbies to pursue. (Like I said, gardening already didn't work out.)
All I'm saying here is that the Apocalypse is bound to happen any but that doesn't mean you should contribute in causing it to happen sooner than necessary. Fear the Apocalypse and even me if you wish. Just make sure you are prepared when we come. Nothing worse than travelling with that feeling you left something behind, it might be a long trip to your next destination.
