Deluge Of Misfortune

It was just another scar added to the many in which he had been branded with.
Sterling Brook's overindulgence in alcohol had yet again fueled a barrage of unnecessary deluge at the Cross - Inn. It had become more than just a habit, he  knew that it could sabotage everything. Yet again he had sunk to his lowest point. The promises he had made to himself were just that, promises. He reached inside the pocket of his jacket and pulled out a half smoked cigarette that had significantly crumbled in his pocket. His hand shook as he reached up to light it. Tacking a drag he contemplated the consequences of his actions at the Inn.
Silently he cursed himself knowing full well that the nights disaster would definitely cost him a month's worth of pay.
The past few days had been a blur. Everything that he thought he knew had become a guessed question mark. Only the booze had been his guest, a soulmate through the torment of his stricken life. He knew it would never walk away from him but the question was, could he walk away from it? The past was his upset, it had thrown him into an abys where humiliation had created rage. He had become a stranger to his family, but worse still, to himself.
Sterling reached up and placed his hand on the black jacket that clung tightly to his toned frame. Only his motorbike had become his sanity. It was the one thing that offered freedom from the scrutiny that once broke him. 
The Harley Davidson motorbike had been given to as an inheritance after his Father had passed away. It was also a constant  reminder of the greed that had caused his world to full apart. The past was far from over and in returning he knew that claiming it back wasn't going to be easy. Justice was going to secure his right and revenge was only a stone throw away.
