Demonic Force

I was just an innocent 12 year old girl. My heart was so pure, and when I slept I had nice dreams. But something happened when I read a newspaper. I read a demon series; every day I went to the market and read them all.

I cut them out of the newspaper and hid them. I watched films about demons. I was always alone at house because my parents were working, and my brother was in high school. I was in primary school at that time.

Anyways, I was home alone and needed to take a shower. When I went to the bathroom, sounds began to come from the hole in the sink. I was very scared and ran away. My heart beat so hard. I still feel scared to go into that bathroom to this day. The next time I took a shower I was still terrified, so I took a shower with my clothes on. When I touched my clothes, I heard a whisper near me.

One day I watched a film called “Magic”. The film was scary, and it was about demons. A woman took a Holy book, read different lines, and the demons went away.

After I stopped watching the movie and went to sleep, the demons hurt me and I couldn’t breathe. They made me feel so different and bad. I was afraid of the dark, and I always kept my lamp on when I slept at night.

One day, I stood up and turned the light on, and found a verse from my Holy book to make things better. The book was written in Arabic. I didn’t understand Arabic; but when I read it, all of the demons went away, and I thanked God. After all this, the demons still scare me.

I am 18 years old now and I’m still scared. When you are scared, that’s what makes them strong. It has been 6 years since the first time the demons first started terrorizing me, and they still bother me sometimes, and won’t completely leave forever.

“What the girl possibly experienced was a Jinn. Islam says that Jinns can be good, evil, or neutral, and take many different forms, such as humans, animals, or objects such as trees, pictures etc…but they all work for the Devil. The girl in this story didn’t experience anything until she started to read about demons in the newspaper. She is a Muslim, and Islam kind of says that having anything to do with the Devil, even just reading about him or his kind for fun or entertainment, potentially opens them up for possession, or other harassment like situations like she experienced. It’s harder for Jinns to attack people that follow their religion and don’t sin too much.”
