Dreaming Truth

When I was 13 years old I dreamed that my maternal grandfather took me into a church and we ate giant-sized communion wafers. Before I woke up he told me to tell Rob, who is my youngest aunt's husband, to not forget his hat.

Within 24 hours or so we learned that he had died from complications that were brought on by his emphysema. The wake was at the funeral home, but the church where the service itself was held was the same one as in my dream. I didn't say anything to anyone about his hat, but I learned later that my uncle did indeed forget to bring my grandfather's hat to place in the coffin with him!

Lots of people have had dreams about something before it happened, such as deaths, or communication dreams after a death that have a "real" feeling about them. The grandfather taking his granddaughter to church, might have kind of been like his way of saying goodbye to her, and letting her know that he was ready to go, and that everything was ok.
