giving up

A long time ago there was a child named Chris, he was always happy in the eyes of his peers and family. They didn't see him spiraling into the dark he feared. No one was standing by him when he started self harming. He only wanted to be loved and be happy. He cried every night and he attempted suicide multiple times, he was giving up. One day he found a friend who he cared about more than himself, who gave him a reason to live. That friend grew away from Chris and stopped talking to him. Now Chris was feeling sad again, feeling the dark creep its way into his life again. He thought of giving up daily. All he wanted was for that friend to care again, now he is dealing with it alone and scared. 

Now he feels like giving up is all that's left.
