Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Jack King was standing at his solid oak chopping block doing the same thing he has done for the past 33 years. The handle of his cleaver griped firmly in his blood drenched hands as he whacks away at the mounds of chicken parts in front of him that constitutes his morning work load.
Ā Ā Ā Ā However this day is a lot different due to the simple fact that in Jacks cooler mixed in with all the sides of beef and small pigs was hanging the still breathing but severely beaten body of a local hoodlum named Carlo Cerveechie.
Ā Ā Ā Carlo Cerveechie was a genuine piece of shit that needed to be dealt with and when people need to be dealt with in this city Jack is the man you go see to have it taken care of. You owe money, fuck you pay up. You cheated at cards, fuck you take your medicine. You stole from a local small business, fuck you pay it back with blood. You peddle drugs to kids, fuck you die with the needle. Any type of problem the local people had they would go see jack to have it fixed. So much so that old ladies were coming by to complain about potholes on their street and punks knocking over their trash cans. Jack couldnāt always help with the potholes but he damned sure had the trash can problem fixed. Thereās a Certain pride comes with that type of power and reputation and Jackāthe-King couldnāt be more proud or have a more love him or hate him type of reputation.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā The problem with Carlo was nothing new for his type. All the guns and money that goes along with being a low level drug dealer trying to move up gives you a false sense of power. Carlo turns out was a first rate piece of shit with or without the guns and money. At a young age he decided that he was going to be a hoodrat and terrorize the neighborhood so often that by time he actually grew up people would already be afraid of him. In his line of work having people be afraid of you was the biggest thing you had going for you. Through the fear was power. The power to strong arm, the power to shut you up and the power to roam freely to do as you wish.
