Story -

Lady of the Fountain (Prologue)

You see mortality in the mirror,
Eyes weathered and old.
You see sallow, pale skin,
A body withered and cold.
You asks the questions,
The same every day:
"How will I preserve my beauty?
Perhaps I'll pray,"
Then you get so anxious,
Because what the Dark Mother will say.
You begin to weep,
You continue to pray.
She never sleeps;
She listens to you.
You say the wishes,
Murmur the same prayers.
But every dream becomes vicious,
Making folly of your wishes.
Then she gives you a thought,
An answer to what you've sought,
One impossible and true,
A perfect, immortal you.
You must speak to the Lady of the Fountain
Atop the forever growing mountain.
You mus tell her, child, tell her your pleas.
Beseech her child, beg for mercy.
Then shall you be preserved,Β
Beautiful and eternal,Β
Never to be broken.
You look into your heart;
what will you do?
You tear your demons apart,
And embark on a journey
That will test every single thought,
Desire, prayer, dream
And doubt inside you.

Good luck child,
And stay true.
