My Journey part 3

Two more failed attempts were made  by my aunt ,mom and myself to flea the country!
we were detained again by Viet kong!
they arrested us and released us!
 The holding camps were full from South Vietnamese trying to escape The North Vietnamese takeover!

War has gone on now for years!
there's word US will be moving out of Saigon
 as the North pushes South!

my Uncles and family will be leaving for US 
as there life would be in jeopardy!
 
They were officers in the South Vietnamese milatary
so all three were brought to US.

my mom now sick with cancer she was a Buddhist,vegetarian and dying from cancer
at the age of 33!

my grand mom trying to save her!
cashes in gold to pay for her hospital stay
she hoped she could get her to The U S.
but she was overcome  by cancer and and passed!

my grand mom and grand dad were my only family now!
just a young boy that lost both his mom and dad!
 The day finally came in 1983 we received the green light for my aunts and grand parents and myself are cleared to join our family in  California!
 We are so happy Freedom
we can't wait!
