Mystery Men

This story occurred in the southern Urals of Russia.
When my mom was young and studied in a secondary school, her and my grandparents lived in a rustic house that was made of logs.

One Winter evening my grandmother asked my mom to go outside and get some water from the well. The house's courtyard was surrounded by a fence and unauthorized access was prohibited. It was locked, so nobody from outside could have gotten in.

My mom was just a young girl and out on the street she seen two men come into the yard! She was frightened because the gate was closed and it wasn't possible for anyone to enter, they could only get out. She ran inside the house and told my grandparents about the two men. My grandpa was a World War Two veteran and he wasn't able to move very quickly because he had lost one of his legs in the war. So my grandma got up and went into the yard with my mom.

They began to search the area for any trace of the men, they seen that the men's tracks ended in the middle of the courtyard. They didn't see the men ever again, and the gate was still closed and locked. The house stood in a muddy area and my mother seen many strange things while she lived there. It seemed like there was another dimension or something like that nearby.

Russia as a whole is a country that is filled with mysterious activity. I have heard a few stories of people seemingly appearing/disappearing out of nowhere, or even walking into the side of a mountain without any rational explanation. I personally haven't been to any of those places to investigate for myself, but with all of the different eyewitness accounts out there, there has to be something to all the stories.
