Catty a young woman is the best decode breaker, who was frame for the murder of her husband, (no body was found) arrived in a place call One Street to start a new life until Cody found her.

(In 24hrs ,I got a job in a bar/kitchen, got a one bedroom unit fully furnish, and move into One Street, the job was in walking distance, basely just around the block, for once ,luck is on my side, all I had to do,is buy food..... then ….the rest of my stuff can come later, I was on the ground flooded, the fount did have a nice garden ,their at one time

Out the back is a small patio,needs a good clean up and some nice plants ,it will be nice for a BBQ,.... I heard someone knocking, going to the fount door,with the chain attached, open,and their is the most hansom man I ever saw ,but somewhere, I have seem him around,)

"Hi! can I help you”.

”My name is Cody” I'm looking for a woman by the name of catty, she needs to get in touch with her daughter ,” (my daughter??,thinking mmm he fucking lying,,) ….

”Gee! "I'm so sorry, I just move in today, if you asked at the security gate were she has moved to,but I'm sorry I don't know anyone by the name of catty",(about to close the door when he shove his foot in, stopping the door from closing,Looking at his foot then back up,)

"what's your problem" I said.

"I know who you are catty, you can't fool me.”

“How in the fucking hell did you fine me I said what do you want?"(,as he push the door open and came inside, and walking to the lounge, sitting down).

“ I'm here to take you back in, or you can help me on this job either way you're coming with me,”... (now I know were I seen him at the company, thinking I don't want to go back their,I had enough of their fucking bullshit and red tape for some and white tape for others.)....

”OK ,what do you want me to do,... but what happens with this job,Cody, I am through with the department I want a life, I will not go back to the company”.

“You know they won't let you go catty, you are too good of a operator.”

“Good...I need the money, ok ”you will have to stay here,I'm not moving, so you will have to pretend your my ex-boyfriend or something, with a smug look on my face “you get to sleep on the couch."

“OK! that's fine, you got any blanket”, he said

"No,go and get your own,ok, look i'm sorry....I only got a sleeping bag and one blanket you can have the blanket till I go shopping,” “also I got a job to go to, I start ,tomorrow night at 6 at the One Step (the local bar) I get Wednesday night off ,I think and that went I go to my swimming classes”

“Swimming classes” he said with a raise eyebrow””yes I can't swim,so i'm learning”

“So you only got me during the days and weekends,as I be working the nights.”

”OK ,and it won't be hard being you ex now will it,(giving him the finger,I pick up my purse and keys,grabbing my arm.)

”Where are you going” looking at him I said.

“I'm going to try and buy some more blankets, pillows and a few other odds and ends ,then, I was going to the Bar, check it out ready for my work and have a meal,would you like to come?,putting on my best irritating smile, looking down at him,.

"I thought you'd never ask,getting up from the couch, I'm so hungry"... we went shopping.

(Cody grab stuff for himself, I got all the stuff and bathroom stuff,then we headed off to the pub in my old car.)

"You need a better car."

"Not in this neighbourhood I don't, besides I don't often use the car ,mainly in cold weather or I gotta get stuff like now, I got my bike anyway, if I want to get from one place to another quickly ,parking up, we went into the pub.

"What do you want to drink,and I get this.”

“A beer thanks....giving me my bee.”

“So are you going to tell me what's all this is about"...... taking a drink of his beer, staring at me, then put in his beer down.”

"OK,somewhere in One Street,someone is passing important information to an unknown source,we cannot find out where this person is, as he/she/they keeps moving around,we don't know if (they) have a permanent address here, and been in other places or they go backwards and forwards to work,or they just drive around from different places they have been here for two weeks,now, as we did pick a signal, but lost it here we think they are using some type of blocking device, I would like you to get to know as many neighbours and people that you can”...., check them out and any friends that comes to visit.”

“ok, I said Seeing I got no computer ,or you can get me one,in the mean time,check out through the PO, who get mail at each house regardless and if any mail has been returned ,also the real estate and see if any one have brought or rented in the last 12 months, then do a search on those people”....our meals arrived, digging in...

"This is yummy”,Cody looking at me and smile.

Finishing our meals got up,went and got another beer,sitting back down,

“So I said what is our cover story,how about I left because you are a the cheater, lying scum bag,and you come and asked me back,actually that's no good not if you want to get on good terms with some of the women around here, So we better think of something else” not happy what I just said 

“Cody said ,just say that we had a personal disagreement and we decide to call it quits for a while and I'm here to ask you to come back”.. “and if they want to know any more details ,just say you don't want to talk about it."

"OK,that sounds good.”

”I'm pleased you agree” (with a sarcastic tone) back at the unit,Cody made up the pull-out couch,laying out two blankets.

(Cody smiling to himself,yep she is everything that they told me about,but I didn't realise how tiny catty is,just come under my armpits,if she give me any more lip,...I could kiss those lips,...what!, the hell ,were did that come from shaking my head ,get a grip man),

( I went into the bed room, made up the bed with sheets, blankets and a nice quilt, Putting the new pillows on top of the bed,then towels and shampoo, ect into the bathroom,. ...he a pain in the arse...but a nice,sexy pain...where did that come from ,what the fuck,cat get a whole of yourself,he's your boss,.well sort off,

Going back out to the kitchen, putting on the jug for coffee, looking over my shoulder,) “if you want to have a shower towels in the bathroom."

“OK ,thanks”, (made my coffee and went and sat down ,picking up the remote to turn the TV on,.

Cody got up and picking up his bag going into the bathroom).

"Nice quilt, and the bed is hard just the way I like it.”

"Like, all you like,you're not sleeping in it"I called back”,he's laughing, (then I heard the door closed.

I heard the shower running, I waited about 5 minutes then quickly and quietly, I went in the bathroom, going through Cody bag, trying to find any identification, found his badge number 1970PH2501 , ok, could not finding any other papers, bank cards or phone,I bet he has taken them into the bathroom, going back out to the couch).

When there was a knock on the door,.

"Who is it" I said ..

”My name is Jack,I'm your next door neighbour, just come to say hi and welcome you to the neighbourhood I'm more or less in Charge around here,” opening the door slowly.

"Hi, I'm catty" I said and coming up behind me.

" Hi I'm Cody".....come in.”

"Thank you jack said I led him into the lounge room, saw the blankets,

"He sleeping on the couch, we separated,I said Jack looking.

“ we trying to work things out Cody said.”

“look I'm sorry if I came at a wrong time,...just want to give you the the thumb up, we had a few break-in over a last couple of weeks, and one of the units got broken into and we didn't know until we were going to lease it out no damage just dirty but it look like they used the electric and phone lines the boss is trying to trace where the calls went too, and a few others people who been away on holiday said the same things,... so please be careful and don't leave anything of value inside when you go out,.... sorry again for the intrusion., Jack walked out to the door Cody followed, open and shaking his hand.,”

Do a search on him ,he could just be checking out to see if any unit are vacant” ,going back into the bedroom, pulling down the quilt.

Cody came in said

” I get you a computer”, looking up at him.

"Thank, I start work tomorrow night, do you want to come and have dinner.

"Are you asking me out”he said smiling.

"No! I put in the dinner order for you, so you don't have to wait,"I said.

"I have a steak and chips for 7pm and thank you.”

I climbed into bed,

” I see you in the morning."

"Catty,thanks for helping, their was no one else we could trust,their is a leak in the department and the company wants me to fine it,we mite know who,he is....he was one of the best opp we had he got killed about 2 years back his name is.....

“Foster Larger” I said, Cody looking at me,

”How do you know that catty,that is top secret,I didn't get that Clarence so how did you know”

“Because I was married to him and when he died I got frame for his death, no body ,no evidence and the company still lock me up for two fucking years,as soon as I got release I came here... getting myself under control, so you think that foster is a lived and out for revenge it been over 3 years and you don't even known what he looks like now.”

“ That's why its just you and me,night” he said and walking out.
I wake up during the night with a start ,..I thought something was climbing up my legs and over my stomach, just laying there, I slowly reached down and grabbed it , a hand sitting straight up.

“What the fuck” I said reaching up and turning on the bedside lamp laying next to me is Cody.

"What the fuck ,you doing in my bed" I said.”

"Sorry, I can't sleep on the couch to hard and I'm to lonely”( I could hear the laughter in his voice I was speechless,... I reach up and turn off the light, lying back down and turning on my side, thank,and arm went back over my tummy ,I shivered and went stiff ,moving over a little ,and putting my arm under my pillow).

( I work up in bed on my own, sitting straight up, pulling the sheet up, wounding if I dream it,. trying to think,...did we?, “no”, did he? , I don't thick so, I remember his arms over my tummy, but that's about all,just about to get out of bed ,when the door open).

"Good you awake, come on Becky ready" and thank you for a very... good night sleep. "We ,didn't, did we.”

(Smiling, then bust out laughing, closing the door I quickly got out of bed put a pair of jeans on and top and walk out to the kitchen).

"What's all that about" I said.”

"What?”

”you laughing”.

"O, sorry, just your expression on your face".

“Don't think ,you are sleeping in my bed tonight”,(walking back into the bedroom, going in for a hot shower, quickly getting in, out, and back to the kitchen, grabbing a cup of coffee, and going out the back, even know it was dusty, out there,... I did not care, dusting some of the dust off the old chairs, I sat my butt down, Cody, came out, looking at me).

"look” I'm sorry he said and no"! with a very small smile,.

Looking up.

“OK," so what, were are we doing today”.

"How about we just drive around the block , I just wanted to get a layout.... then we go for a drive.”

"you will have more of a chance to meet some of the people at the bar to night" I said.

"Yes, that's a point".

“so were do you want to go, maybe, you should drive, I don't know my way around here, yet “I said (getting into the car, I gave Cody the keys to drive, we pick up some food, and headed up the road to a beautiful Park, grabbing the blanket from the boot, we walked a little further in and spreading out under a Shady tree, putting food on the blanket and sitting down and just relaxing and having a drink of beer.)

“Me neither”,(taking out some chicken taking a big bite. wiping his fingers, taking out from his pocket, some files),.

"What are these,”

“the files on most of the residence there's a few we can't find,but still looking”..(.taking them from Cody and and reading the first one which was on Jack, said he done military work but doesn't say what type and and security going through more of the paperwork come across one on a Pellet Jamie) .

“I know this name I said”Pellet Jamie, she was invoked with a Choke Lander,”

“ Yes,about 5years back, they were into a lot of robbery, small stuff, Manly home invasion”... then ,they got involved with somebody else ,we try to find out who, this particular person is”....

”do you have any idea”.

“ yes we think it could be foster,”

(Foster was into all kinds of thing mainly espionage,he was doing something in electronics too)

“But we not sure on that one I said ,if we can find out were these two are,then we might find the third one,... he would be the leader.”

”Yes ,now I remember I was not on the case, but I help to get the unit up and running, if I remember right, you were one of the first to join up” Cody said.

"Yes" I was, after Foster died I wanted any poof of his death ,can you go back on that case, go through every thing we got, photos/names/placers/people, we mite get lucky" I said and "come to think of it, they worked most of the robbery around here in this area.”

"Because they are useless arseholes,you do a good job the way you are trained, and they get the credit for it, but sometimes, something goes wrong and they criticize you,blamed you,and the fuckers get away with it ,so you dame if you do, and dame if you don't.”Sometimes I really wish those arseholes on the board will get off their arses and go out in the field and just see what it is like". Getting a piece of chicken too, yum, I didn't realise I was hungry. we clean up and went for a walk around the small lake and walk up to the top of the waterfall, standing there, looking over the town and the street were I live.... looking out and pointed to a big new building,

“What's that” ? I asked, looking.

Cody said, “its the new computer building for all the computer system”,... looking at Cody, “Do a search, fine out if any new employee been employed at that place or if anyone been hanging around or doing" maintenance work like electrical or computers up grade.”

“If the unknown man is with the two and he into electronics and computers, where would be the first place he would strike or put a virus in and two people to help him.

As some as we got back to the unit, I went in for a shower, going through the Wardrobe I found jeans and a light blue spaghetti strap top, like a boob-tube but with straps and lace on the bottom, and finding my black flat booths,and I didn't want to get sore feet on my first night and I want to look nice, but did not want to actually stand out,my hair was long so I did it in a braid hanging down my left side, some make-up just a little and some gloss on the lips ,walking back out to the lounge room, Cody was going through the list looking up at me, said,

“I think these is something here you mite understand.”

Arriving at work, talking to Max one of the owner,.

“you won't have much to do with me he said,i'm not here much Billie is in charge.”

”OK thank”, then talking to Billie,big, tall, blue eyes, about 5ft8, hair, long,brown hard muscles ,Celtic tattoos ,nice...the bar manager”

“Yep,hi” giving me the once over

“Most regulars, normally drink beer,some of those, that come in,are white collar or suits ,they like their spirits, wine etc., then you get the rest, most of the young ones goes for can spirits, so you'll get to know the difference,... letting me take in this info first ,now,here are all the spirits pointing to the bottles hanging up downside, bourbon, scotch, jack's brandy,all the rest are here,pointing towards the fount just under the counter, behind you, are all the fridges from beer, wine soft drinks, etc., now we don't use the beer taps on Friday, Saturday, Sundays,we cover then up and if you noticed...no stubby, only cans and plastic cups, that way no can get cut if any frighting starts up looking up into Billie's eyes.

“OK” giving him a slight grin..

“You stay behind the bar tonight, a 10 minute break at 7and 9,pointing,said the till is basic, looking at one key that says drinks you see the price, money in and get them back their change, no one can fuck up this going over and looking at the till....1 nip of scotch and any soft drink $8.50 ,while a can of any beer is $7. 50. Everything is the same price see he said, ease you, catty will fit in here just nicely looking me up and down again.

Another girl came her name is pike, I look and look again ,trying not to look surprise,, fuck, thinking ,I know who her she is, fucking Pellet Jamie.

”Hi Pike” said Billie, this is Catty,help her out to night and take turns on the floor and let catty have a bit of fun and watch her,..looking surprise.,

“We take turns on the floor, taking drinks out and putting empty cans/cups, all goes into the bins,the big blue ones that you see any were around,their are 3 bins,here and two on the other side. with a big relief.

”What” said Billie.

“I through we had to do some pole dancing, or something.

I could not wait for Cody to come in, looking at the time, 15minutes to go for my break, going to the kitchen and putting in his steak order, it was good tonight, not to busy for the first night, saw Cody walking in and up to the bar, I asked pike would she serves ,Cody, introducing him,.

“Pike I like you to meet my ex, Cody” didn't miss a beat, said

“Can I go for my 10 minute brake now."

“Sure when you come back I go for mine", she said, giving her a smile,... I walk off with Cody to a table at the back, sitting down, I said

“ I mite asked her out on a date, as well,just to see what she say.”said Cody

”I think Billie like me, too I said ,then again ,it mite just be his charm for all the girls.”

Billie came back in, from out the back, walking over to were I was,still drinking my coffee,sitting down ….,

Billie left and Cody came up to the bar, pike said she going for her brake, OK, Cody said “I'm going ,be back later, what time do you finish?.”

“Don't know, come back at midnight or I call you , but I don't have your number any more.”

“Give me your phone,passing it over, going up the end and serving a couple of guys, coming back to Cody, taking my phone back and put it into my back pocket, Cody lean over grab the back of my neck pulling me,towards him.. ok kissing me heavy. I put my hands on the bar, stopping me going forward, letting me go,

“ I see you later”, and walking out, I just stood, their, Billie came over,

“wow !he sure wants you back.”

“Like fuck", I said ,about to go up to the end of the bar. Billie just look at me,

Jack came in with 6 people, 4 males, 2 females,.. looking around, saw me, coming up to the bar, giving me a smile

"Hi,... its Catty, right.”

"yep" I said, first night,

He said,”when you get a chance come over to the table, I introduce you to some of the neighbours.”

“when I can,my next break is about 9”I said, looking at the clock, 8. 48, in the meantime what can I get for you all.”

” OK ,one Scotch on the rocks only, and a lemonade with dry vermouth and a lemon water and 3 EB cans please”

“Have a sit Jack, I'll bring them on over,”

“Where Cody” jack asked,

“Don't know” I said, “came in for a meal and left soon after,”...

”So would you like to go out one night for dinner”, looking at jack.

“I would love too, let me find out what my roster is ,can I get back to you.”

Getting all the drinks ready, and take them over to the table ….going back to the bar, Billie stop me, looking down at me.

“Did Jack just asked you out on a date.”

“Well that's depends on my boss the bar manager and my roster.” smiling ,going back behind the bar,when Cody coming back in with a tall blond,.

“Right everybody, this is. catty who is in unit 6,”.. “catty this is John unit2...Joe, unit 4.. Carter, unit, 1... Julie unit, 3... I'm in unit 5... Sammy and Margaret live across the street”..

“Hi ,so, no vacant units”...

“No” said Jack why"?.

"For Cody”....so I can get Cody out of my place, and have my place back to myself"

"Who Cody" asked Sammy, I pointed to Cody behind me.

“My ex” I said,.. Jack sliding his hand under the table and resting on my knee, "looking into his eyes, coughing,and having a drink.

“I better get back to work,” jack smiling, said

“It nice to see you again catty, seeing ,that we are neighbours,.... think I'll be seeing you more,"

" Right” I said I didn't know what else to say,

jack said “don't forget to mention to Cody about the room.”....

"Nice to meet you all, if I don't see you all about... I hope see you all here,it will be nice if we could make it a regular date for all of us and asked any friends to join in” smiling. “That's a great idea said Marge and Sammy with the rest agree,how about we make it for a Sunday arvo”getting up and smiling and going back into the bar.

Billie saw me, looking at the time, he could see I was tired,

"Catty, you can clock off at 12. 30 and same time tonight be here at 6. 30, I go over a few things before you start."

“OK” I said and started to clean up, finishing washing the glasses.

Pike had already finish too, looking over and sitting with her is (John Export) known as Emu. Thinking and getting my bag,going over to her.

“ Hay pike,thank for helping me to night.”

“No worries,hay this is Emu.”

.”Hi” I said,giving him a smile, turning back to pike,I see you tonight about 7, ...I got to come in early ,Billie wants to see me before I start” giving me a smile back.

“I think ,he like you ,catty” grinning.

“No,”... it work only I said I got one boyfriend, I trying to..thinking I trail off ...

”Well Sammy and Marge has a spare room,at there place ,... I'm going to tell Cody he got to move out.

How did these two got away with all the break-ins,if they did do it .... but were is the evidence,..they were only brought in for question...or were they being set up,..if that is the case,who would gain from this ...thinking,..making a mental note ,maybe the third man,must asked Cody to do a check on other break-ins around the same time.

Walking and calling over my shoulder to Billie,

“See you later, I going home to get at least 6hrs sleep.”

"Catty wait!" I stop and turn around,

Billie, rubbing his hands through his hair said

”OK, Apology Accepted”(thinking, I really like, Billie) I forgotten about pike and emu,... “Have you really got a Harley”said Emu, then Pike said “cool, that is so cool,” I just couldn't help myself, I burst out laughing, turning back to Billie, just then, Cody came back in, looking around at all of us.

"What going on”

"Pike said,did you know that cat got a Harley bike and she can ride it, that is so cool”.

Billie said” I got one too, if it not to late, do you want to go for a ride,”, I looked over his shoulder at the clock, 12. 20am.

“How about you ride over to my place tonight say 5, we can go for a ride ,then come here,”

“Now that sound like a good plain, pulling me in and wrapping his arms around me, bending down and given me a kiss on the neck”,whispering in my ear, you smell good enough to eat, catty.”.I look up said with a smile.

“Really,you only saying that because Cody here”, turning around and walk out the door,Cody grabbing my arm, spun me around said

I just sat their, hands over my ears, then running them through my hair and over my face, what fox didn't know, I already decode the code and have both on my body on the lock tattoo.

I got the tattoo done when I was in prison, I wanted something to remember to help me get through it all and the code was the only thing that's all I could think of and fox disappearance I know it has something to do with him and I just know he wasn't dead,one of the inmates are doing them for a price and depending what you want done, mine cost me, I had to teach someone a lesson, coming back out of my thoughts back into reality.

Standing up taking in a breath ,well I got to do this ,what other choices do I have, making my way to the back door, going in, didn't know what to expect, all of them sitting down, as soon as they saw me, a relief came over them, not sure if what to say,

foster said “she hasn't got them here”, (Turing the gun on foster as he did, foster let out a kick and knocking Allan off guard I turn around and hit Emu in the throat with the palm of my hand letting go of me, his hands went to his throat chocking, Cody grab Pike, and tying her up with Emu, grabbing the gun off the floor I fired and hitting Allan in the shoulder, Jack ran over and picking up Allan locking his arms, in his own, reaching down and pulled up foster, they tired up the 3 together and and taping over their mouths),.

Fox bending down and looking at Allan arm,

"Your lucky it just a fresh wound".

he said turning to me, now looking at the clock 11. 56, we have 4 minutes.

“catty where is the code”

“Come! we need to go to the basement”,. taking my hand and the other's following.

(Leading the way, foster went out the back and down a flight of steps, me behind, Billie, Cody, jack, following, looking around, I never been down here before, a little way down the end, foster open up the door, walking inside, I just froze, wow it like a being in the operation room at the complex ,monitors, TV's computes all over the place,Fox walking over to one ,sitting down and pulling up the info.

(We all just froze looking at the timer,I move back a little as they looked at the clock ,backing up and quickly went back up the bar, I didn't want to stay here any longer then I had to.)

(Allan, Emu,and Pike were gone, I bet the coppers came and picked them up ,just about to open the back door up when I heard somebody said...

“Billie said you know you got work tonight and now that pike is not here I will need you, so go home and get some sleep, better still go out to the flat, get some sleep,.”

“Cody will bring you over some clothes later, and don't think for one minute you skipping out on us said Cody”

“Open the door and went out,going down the path and inside, (nice, went in for a very, nice long shower, and collecting on the bed,. I don't know how long I sleep for, my cloths were lay out on the bottom of the bed, jeans, top, pants, bra, and my boots, alone with my make up bag, getting up going to the small kitchen, putting on the jug, looking in the fridge, wow, food as well, just haven coffee I went out to the small patio, beautiful , ferns, palms all over and in the corner a small water fountain, I just sat their not thinking, just sat their drinking my coffee.)

The door open and in come fox, Billie, Cody,and jack looking at then as they come in sitting down,fox said,

“The company is going to reimbursed you for the time you spent in prison” ,I didn't say a word,just pick up my coffee drinking coughing fox said

“You will get 2 million,I just stead at him,frozen,shock,fox shacking me.

“Catty!,Catty!,you ok,I was still speechless ,coming out of a dazed looking at then one at a time and focus on fox>

“Do you think the owner will sell or sell a part of One” Step,grinning

“Yeah both Fox and Billie”said ,and they all laugh.
