Oregon Trail Ruts: The Fort Laramie Ghost

This story occurred when my family and I went to Wyoming and visited the Oregon Trail Ruts in 2004. I was walking around by myself and I kept getting weird feelings. I didn't really think anything of it.

I continued walking around on the concrete sidewalk and kept hearing what sounded like horse hooves walking behind me. I turned around at least five times and nothing was every there! It creeped me out and I told my mom about it. She said that she hadn't seen anyone, but that people do ride horses through there sometimes.

We got back home and I told a relative about it and they found an old legend about a lady in green. She was the daughter of a commander stationed at Laramie; one day she went for a ride on her horse and never came back.The local legend says that she makes her appearance only on certain years, and 2004 was one of those years. Maybe I heard her and she was following me. I had a picture I took of the ruts where there was a black mass in the background close to the end of the ruts. I unfortunately don't have the picture anymore.

I looked around online and I found some information about the young lady in green that disappeared while riding her horse, and learned that a lot of people have seen her ghost throughout the years.
