"Prey you're not next" By Ben Goode 2017 (c)

A young lady was walking through the forest one day.
She was very beautiful and fair. Dressed like a Princess, and nobody knew any different.
She was whistling as she walked, smiling as she looked around at her environment.
A dark cloaked figure had been stalking her for some time.
And was looming closer, and closer.
Whatever it was, seemed quite beastly. It hissed as it breathed.
It had claw-like hands, and occasionally it scratched some of the tree trunks it walked past.
It seemed eager and excited that it was closing in on its prey.
It seemed to drool from its mouth, and its blue eyes glowed.
The creature streaked ahead of the woman's path in order to intercept her.
And it was deathly silent as it did. The woman seemed unaware of the impending danger.
She continued to walk on for a while, and as she walked around a curve in the path the creature stood before her.
The woman stopped in her tracks but did not scream. Which seemed to disappoint the creature.
"You do not scream as the others did before you," The creature said croakily, as its eye's narrowed.
"Maybe because I'm not afraid!" The woman smiled.
"You should be!" The creature snarled as it lumbered toward her.
But suddenly the woman leapt onto the creature, and from her hands, she spun a spider web to hogtie him. She bit into his leathery flesh and he screamed in agonising pain as the venom started to overwhelm him.
"Sometimes the greater predator is what seems like easy prey. Your sheer stupidity sickens me. But then I have never eaten anyone smart!" The woman smiled before she bit him again.
