Pride

Kali and Hayzel were the best of friends from their years in high school to the present. They moved away from each other but still kept in contact. They both decided to divorce their husbands, due to the men being jerks. Well, Kali found attraction to Hayzel and so did she. Suddenly, they were in love.

A few months later, Hayzel decided to visit Kali. Kali was so surprised that she couldn't stop crying. Tears of joy, of course. It only made their relationship stronger. On Valentine's Day, they both spoiled each other. 

It was all good, until Kali's mother found out and didn't approve. She didn't let them stay together and took Hayzel out of the picture for good. Too bad. They made an amazing couple. 

You didn't think that stopped them, did you? Hayzel tapped on Kali's window and asked her to runaway with her. Well, she did. She also married Hayzel. 

They adopted a baby girl, named Shardonay. Watching her age fascinated them. 

At school, everyone around Shardonay was making fun of gays. So, at a school play, she got up and yelled, "gays have rights too. Just because some other woman likes another woman, or vice versa, doesn't give anyone the right to judge. My parents are both women, but that doesn't bother me one bit. So if you're gay, then that's okay!" Suddenly, everyone in the auditorium stood up and applauded. 

"I'm so proud of you, honey," said Kali. "Me too!" Said Hayzel, as they both gave Shardonay a giant hug.

A couple months later, Kali goes to pick up Shardonay and then gets a call. 

"Hello?" Kali asked. "Hello, I was informed you live at 297 east honeywell. Am I right?" The man asked. "Yes, why?" Kali asked. There's been a fire at your home. We found a living female body in the fire and she's in terrible condition. Her lungs have nearly collapsed because of the smoke and she's covered in burns. Is there anyone else in the house that you know of?" The man asked. "No, that's it. I'm off to the hospital. 

A few months later and Hayzel was doing just fine.

Everything was quite alright. Satisfaction fullfilled.

This was a love story that I'm sure you'll love. Happy endings are the best.
