The Dull Town

Finally the heavy rain has stopped. Today the sky was a dull grey colour, the paths were foggy vision was unreliable in this situation. The cobble paths seem dab, but they will dry soon. The rusty gutters had water streaming down it. It was a quiet day, but there was a man who caught my attention he was in the corner of an alleyway. He had an old cello which looked like it has been used before, many times. Beside him was an antique metronome, where it sat on an aged, brown stool.

The old man was wearing stripy, black and white tracksuit pants. He had a white shirt, and upon it was a navy coat which had two large pockets, he also had a grey, wool scarf around his neck. He had a pair of dirty shoes which were the colour of mould, upon his feet. The man's nose was very pointy and he had blue, beady eyes. He had a grey and white fuzzy moustache, grey  bushy eyebrows and white fluffy hair.

He was feeling glum because some disobedient boys stole his metronome. He was sitting down on the stool, and then heard the clattering of cans. There it was a black, brown and white beagle, he had a black buttoned nose, small floppy ears and large, brown eyes. He had a long tail, which had cans tied to it with a string.

The dog rolled a brown, round ball to the man’s foot. The old man clutched the ball in his wrinkling fist and sent it hurtling through the town but not for long, it then hit the light post and rebounded back to him. The dog saw that the old man was gloomy, and the dog wanted to help him, because the same boys who stole the man’s metronome tied the cans to his tail. So the dog barked, and motioned his nose to the location of the boys secret hideout. The man got up, and proceeded in the dog’s path.

As they were walking together, they heard it the giggling of the three boys. The man told the dog to be quiet and put his finger on his own lips. But the idiotic beagle barked, the man had no choice he wasn’t going to let the boys run away, So he barged in. The three boys dashed away in shock and they left metronome on the black table. The man took it and went home. The dog left to, the man arrived in the place of where he started, and his cello had been stolen.
