The Fire Priests

The Fire Priests

He gazed curiously and listened, as the voice which spoke through the flames lured him closer and near, as far as he had breached amidst the flames' warm radius of vehemence. Upon a moment's spur, a vivacious aura began raising from the conversing flames, and creeped within him, from his creviced jaws, as he in sudden spoke, expressing a brusque and curious tale.

"The prior moon was unlike the others.

I gazed ceaseless upon the skies' dark void, searching. I remember praying in the darkness which had bestowed the night's silence. Oh beloved, hear my plea, for I have seen beyond my explicable means; for I have seen you fade into absence, for I have seen the cries of your innocence, and for I have dissolved into an ethereal abstinence. Thus, I am no longer in desire of abiding in essence.

I remember, as I was stood within my chambers, wearing the white robes which draped from me and harnessed the grime amidst my feet, alike a madman I raised my dagger of woes and slit my throat open.

As the ancient winds' rhythms swayed my aged and lightened hair to their flow, I collapsed in sudden. The grounds beneath me began painting red with my pouring blood, as my passionate soul commenced in raising from my lifeless flesh, drifting onto the afterlife.

Such, was my end."

Upon his words reaching an end, the same vivacious aura egressed from him through his jaws, and reversed back into the flames.

In sudden, one fire priest whom was engaged in his pious prayer impetuously collapsed dead, leaving three as the zealous remainders.

"Such you expressed was another's tale, a man shall express his own tail", spoke the voice from within the flames.

Thus, upon a moment's passing, the same ordaining aura raised from the flames and creeped within him in intrusion once more, leaving him in the expression of yet another, mystic tale.

"The night skies mirrored in his eyes, as my shrewd sword laid idle within his pierced heart, for his final gaze, expressed an adversed mystery, for he could not fathom as I had became the patricide whom murdered his own kin.

In instance, a gripping, and peculiar sadness creeped within me, for his brooding ending gaze bared neither rancour, nor devour. I remember, as I had pierced him and lead him unto his dissolution, his amorous and ending silence, his hidden benevolence which laid behind his pains bestowed anguish upon me and as such, he lead me unto an oblivious chagrin.

What have I done? I questioned my own motives in response; as sinister qualms sourced within my core. For I feared to endure the insidious and vindictive conscience which arose, I climbed the nearby window and released myself unto my doom.

The seas commenced in washing my bruised and vanquished carcass, as the essence in which I once possessed was regressing from me in instance and speed. I remember shadows, dimness, and void, for I had murdered my own blood upon an enraged moment's impulse, and thus suicide had aided me in escaping from my grieving madness.

As I was swallowed below the seas' shallows, my desperate soul commenced in abandoning my lifeless flesh, and merged with the others which lurked amidst these lonesome shores.

Such, was my end."

The enigmatic aura once more absconded from him upon his words' end, repossessing the burning flames in abode; as another fire priest whom was engaged in his devout murmurs collapsed in sudden and as such, the reverenced pilgrims halved in numbers.

"Such you expressed was another's tale, a man shall express his own tail", spoke the same anonymous voice which resided within the flames, once more. Thus, as the same unknown aura entered within him opposing his convenience, anon he expressed vivid and arcane words in accession.

"Curious I arose one night, as the skies raged and awakened me from her reveries. I reached for my cane and wandered in solitude, searching for her.

She was dreaming once again, and such she dreamed shaped my surroundings. I was her enslaved as I lived her dreams, immured upon such she dreamed.

Such was a sad hour, for such she was dreaming was a grieving nightmare.

As I reached her winter's gardens, I remember seeing an ocean of dead bodies surrounding me in no essence, which laid motionless. I could hear their whispers, requesting my help; and amongst their pleads, their pained, sorrowed screams gripped me.

In sudden, I climbed the dead tree which stood beside me, grasped a rope which draped from her branch, placed it around my neck, and released myself in desire of ending my imprisonment.

I struggled in breath however, for my neck remained unimpaired, and thus I bared witness to the bodies' disappearance, as the night evolved onto day and the sun shone upon my struggle for air.

Upon my end's reach as my soul commenced in leaving me, I realised; for she whom dreams had died long ago, and such I saw were the illusions of an ill mind, as during my final hours I was imprisoned by such which mere madness could impose.

Such, was my end."

Once more, egressed from him the curious aura upon his words' end, proclaiming the same expression as prior, "Such you expressed was another's tale, a man shall express his own tail". Thus, another pleading priest collapsed in sudden alike his prior companions, and as such a mere one remained as the sole.
