What Is Deja Vu?

Many months ago I had an experience that was kind of exciting and strange. I walked down the street and checked the mail, and there was an envelope in there for me from the Philippines! It was from a nice lady that lives there. She has shared many different paranormal stories with me, and has taught me a lot  about the Filipino culture. Inside of the envelope was a small flute made of bamboo, and a string so I can wear it around my neck. It was very nice of her to send it to me and it my day very good. But the "strange" part, was that I kind of had a bit of a "Deja Vu" feeling, like I had seen and had one of them before. I've had full-size plastic flutes before as a child, but never one like the kind I received today. That kind of got me thinking about Deja Vu, and what it could possibly be.

Everyone I have talked to have had similar feelings throughout their life, like they had seen something, owned something, been somewhere, or knew someone from like a past life. But then how could so many people experience it? Unless our past lives are just like our current ones..... and that's where things get REALLY STRANGE!!!!!

It got me thinking about an episode of the X-Files TV show I seen a couple weeks prior, after my brother got me a couple of the seasons on DVD for my birthday. In one of the episodes, ("Monday", Season 6 episode 14, that aired on February 28,1999), one the main characters, Agent Mulder, who was played by actor David Duchovny, kept living the same day over and over again. Each time, he would go to a bank to cash his paycheck or something like that, a guy would open his jacket revealing a bomb, and there was always a bad ending for him and his partner, Agent Scully which was played by actress Gillian Anderson.

Eventually Agent Mulder started having Deja Vu-like feelings, but he didn't really do anything differently and the bad endings in the bank continued. I don't want to spoil the episode for those of you that have never seen it, but eventually he makes a little change, things end a little differently and then things get a little better and days start passing like normal and they're no longer living the same day over again.

What that led me to thinking, was that maybe we kind of live the same life over and over again until we do enough things "right", and then we are able to move onto something new. I know that people are born, they live, and they die, but there are so many strange things in life, and so many crazy possibilities. And one thing I've been learning while talking to lots of people about their paranormal experiences, is that no matter how outrageous something may sound, nothing is completely impossible, and anything can possibly happen.

I've heard that before, about people being reincarnated until they eventually reach a "higher level", but I had always thought that people were reincarnated into the future, like into a new person, but possibly being born over and over again into the same life would be really weird......and that would kind of mean that things in the past are still happening in the past, and could possibly be changed from the future (time travel), but then again, nothing really makes much sense, and even if it did, it would still be very hard, if not almost impossible to do.......
