There Is A Void

There Is A Void

There is a void that forms
A scape for the soul to dwell
A brume to becloud the outside
From the vale and shell
Dimensions which conceive
Though ne'er to awake
The reflection of you in me
Obtunding to separate

Peer into the past
And upon its stage, I hold this moment
The quite contemplative mind aware
Within one still broken
And I aspire to be there again
Without the parenthesis of death between
As only it can isolate
Remembrance from the dream

There is a void that forms
A maze for the soul to wend
A deluge to drown the inside
Before the rain descends
Remnants which deceive
Though fear not to awake
The invention of you in me
Deconstructing as I wait

For all that disappears, there is a void
And I wail within, through the calm and still
With hope you'll hear these pangs of mine
As each enamoured memory ebbs
With the essence of potential
Where cleanliness cradles sentiment
In sadness the same as joy
Until again my fears awaken
And I perish with the present light
As sudden as I perceive the past
In relevance only, to the moments I look back
For all the time I've lost between
