LIFE’S BRIEF ENCOUNTER

Life is like a beautiful snowflakeÂ
That appears from the overcast skiesÂ
Falling from its lofty place and miraculous birth
It is tossed and carried by the currentsÂ
Of choices and decisions
It graces the world with beauty and splendorÂ
For a moment, it captures the eyes and minds of othersÂ
Constantly falling and changing its appearancesÂ
Then, like all beautiful snowflakes,Â
Life evaporates in the atmosphere of birthÂ
Or melts away with its brief encounter with sin
As it is said,
“The soul that sin shall die.”
Wilford Barker.

WOW THIS IS REAL TRUE POETRY EXCELLENT WRITE LINDA
I do hate the way the word sin is so flagrantly tossed from the mouths of our religious leaders, a word that keeps us in order, in check. Sin is to miss the point, to be without. It has held us back, it places a fear upon us but how can we be afraid of not missing the point when we don't know what the point is.
Great poetry Wilford.Â
