Carbon Copy

Carbon Copy

There’s an 'e' instead of a 'c', and the 'k' is out of place.
We all make mistakes.
But it’s hilarious to me,
That not even his face is out of place.

I see that your needs, can’t easily be replaced.
Sure, I can’t defend my case.
And if you knew how much I do,
You’d be gone without a trace.

Though I hope you realise.

That I can’t be copied well.
And I can’t be written down.
There are holes throughout your data sample.
I’m sure they’re noticeable now.

I can’t be replicated.
And you never communicated.
I never gave permission,
For my image to be manipulated.

But who am I to care,
What you do with your life?
But when I see him in all your photos.
I just feel sick inside.

What do you expect me to feel?
Honoured? Or Pleased?
When you’ve just signed a contract.
To be away.
With him.
Across the largest of the seas.
