Poem -

There were two

(poem for my sister)

There were two

I want to lie with a smile
Looking up.
I want the sea to adjust
And lay just for now
On my body, pushing me down,
As the sky does.

I want to empty this heart,
Dance at the beginning
Of all the reflecting stars
And I quite want love back.
Bones can't rest unless
The soul is intact.

The brain is a tool
I can't use where the light
Vanishes.

A glimpse of me
That was only a dream exiting
In the vacuum.

The sea may cover over me
The sky hide my happiness.
I am only one
Of two there was to begin with.

For transparency sake this is probably more to my adopted parents than it is about my sister. It has a large degree of shadow in.

Yes, I can feel the shadow on this.
This write is more than meets the eye.  B

Thank you B. That's kind of you, whereas I can see how it may be just flat out childish. Still like it. What does that say about me 🤣
