Harvest Moon

Harvest Moon

Solstice ticks down
Relenting its crown
Amber tide awaits
Decreed by fates

Skeletal boughs high
Raptors resounding cry
Calling forth flaxen haze
Luna mystical phase

Β Frost kisses night air
Summer lost in despair.
Harvest moon arise.
Mourn amends demise.

Cast autumn’s spell.
Dance in drafty swell
Fall leaves wane
Tap on windowpane.
