Poem -

Eve's Tree

will you tell me the story
of how it once was
and tell it so slowly
that flavours might swirl

around and about me, let time...
kill itself
so that memories might live
once more freed
from past's shelf

will you wrap me
in spangles and peoples and
hearts, for
i so crave
those tangerine dreams
of the past, and love,

if you do only
just one thing for me
let memories live now... free...
a'neath, this Eve's tree,

M ~
