Poem -
Apathy Rules Okay
maybe its time to start worrying after all ..
I am now
long enough lived
not to worry
the machine breathes
and my
very own species
has stopped
believing and feeling
or asking
the question why ..
All such
things are now an
almighty irrelevance ..
But I steadfastly
refuse to bow down
and succumb
to such universal
collective incompetence ..

Never bow down. Never succumb. Succumbing is awful ... it even sounds awful as a word. Right, now that we've got that straight, go and stand on top of a mountain (a high hilltop will suffice) open your arms wide (to the universe) and shout, with the biggest voice you can muster, "I WILL NOT bow down. I WILL NOT succumb. I believe in hope and all good things, for I am ME!!"
