The Magician Disappears

Always elsewhere in otherness
Sheltered from the forfeiture of soul
And only when an anchorite spurns the venefice
Will he manumit what he has known
Sombre is the walk to where no one awaits
As epektasis resumes in reflective soliloquium
And true intellection illumines the narrow gate
Yet found is the flesh impoverished ad infinitum
The thaumaturge has purged to obtain pleroma
Unburdened from all but his purpose for love
Aware the price of perspicacity is the weight of kenoma
And forbearance inherent if he remains with none
Will I ever touch the effulgence of your face
My magnalia unmasked as the equinox shone
Amid vernal flowers unfurled an inviolable flame
Evincing my twin and sine qua non
Yet I am anywhere but there or back in Atlantis
Inside two became one, still the mountain remains
As swans swim around through the fog and the rain
How I have longed to live, I live to long
And if the sea should call my name
Perhaps then I will have long let go
With wand in hand while I descend
Knowing to you it Ain Soph Aur
But not if we should meet again
Now glimpsing Elysium I look back
Before I walk on all alone
Execrating the earth that keeps us delayed
With ambivalent tears of tetelestai
But without dread of judgement nor regret
Apotheosis beckons
And through the heavens I will soar

Great image, Ian. It does justice to
such a magnificent piece.
I was wondering when you were going to write again. I am sure you always do, but not often on Cosmo site.
Warm wishes my Poet friend,
