2 Traveller, A Bridge
Prayer for those in Limbo (No More Rats)
A traveller walks along a dirt path, winding and weaving its way through a forest,
As he reaches a clearing in the trees, he must cross a wooden bridge,
Unconcerned by the water bellow, he continues his Journey with God
Never looking down, never looking back.
Days later a second traveller approaches the very same bridge,
He steps back in cowardness, looking down at the rushing, ice-cold water.
He fears that wooden the foundations are weak, and the water will rise,
Collapsing the bridge as he walks.
Unable to get past this barrier, he remains in Limbo, unable to continue along his path.
“You have nothing to fear traveller, do not care about the water, below. Your sins are forgiven, it is time for you to forgive yourself.”
Nodding in recognition, confident in his feet, he continues his Journey with God
Never looking down, never looking back.
Focused only on the path ahead.
Amen

This is interesting and a lovely read. It tells a story in a concise manner, but is gentle at the same time.
I find it hard to stay focused with some poems, but this kept my attention. Really enjoying reading your poems.
