3 Socks Version 2

3 Socks Version 2

Donate
To share and give away,
No confidence - I`m afraid.
“Steeel” an Iron Curtain
Just like yesterday.

One sock – Two Socks  - 3 Socks
Jack of all trades,
Busy blood.
In the veins.
I’ve always been this way.

Loud, crowd. Busy – Life
To please the masses
The 1000 eyes.

Now I`m
Half and full.
Odd and Even.
States of confusion.
Nonsense and reason.

Off and on.
In a flash, it is gone.
Blink and you`ll miss it.

The light switch in the in-between.
Sparks fly
Brightly.

Should I let loose?
Should I double down?
In war is their truce?
To take advantage - to take the grown?

Buckle up.
Saddle up.

I`ll  load, pull, slam
Magazine, trigger, hammer
I stammer –
“Go on, ask the question.”

Do I take off 1?
Or all 3?
In a savage voice.
And in Fish

Of the Sea.

A working progress and an experimental idea. Hope you enjoyed it. Feel free to comment if you like, your support means the world to me!

Hello Max

I am loving how this is forming. Have pinned because I am so intrigued to see what you do to it next :)

My favourite part so far

Loud, crowd. Busy – Life
Smashmouth. Give in - Try.
To please the masses,
The 1000s eyes.
Now I`m,
Half and full.
Odd and Even.
States of confusion.
Nonsense and reason.

Such fab lines here. I get the sense of fighting to fit in, but in doing so, feeling out of place within yourself. Like a pair of odd socks.

I think you are definitely onto something here my friend. I will enjoy watching this develop

Awwww thanks so much Gwen!  Yes I reckon they'll be a few versions of this one. Just trying to get my analogies clear! I'm really glad you liked how it is forming, thanks so much for continually supporting my work. Peace and smiles to you my friend as always. Max~

Wow Max superb to read something different and from poetry's left field and you say work in progress and experimental, well hats off to you, for writing fresh originality and uniquely.
You don't just simply think outside the proverbial box, but outside the box making factory.
And thank heavens for doing so, for it's great to see a poet discard any formality with regard to writing or abiding by poetry's said golden rules.
And can't wait to see where you go with it.
And this section you've written...

To load, pull, slam.
Magazine, trigger, hammer.
I stammer –
“Go on, ask the question.”

A thought popped in my head to remind me of Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro)in the movie Taxi Driver and the 'You talking to me!' monologue.
Great to read and thanks Max for upping something new and most novel.
I wish you well my friend and thanks again.

Hi Shaun! First of all, I just wanted to say thank you so much for your kind and generous comments! I`ll make the best effort to catch up on them all.

You don't just simply think outside the proverbial box, but outside the box making factory.

I`m really glad that you think so Shaun!! Sometimes, I can spin people the wrong way with my writes, so I hope that wasn't the case with this one. But perhaps going out of the box is how we explore new ways of poetry. Thanks so much for your kind words and at a quick google I could see the connection.

Thank you, you awesome poet. Cheers for backing my side of the Cosmos!!

Your friend Max
