Pretending to be good, does that make us a Christian
The relationship between you and god is what it is

Don't be afraid to mess up
He gave his life for our sins
He knew what he was doing when he did what he did
He paid our debt so we can live

Some question it, some still don't believe 
He gave up his life, so we can be at ease
He knew life wasn't going to be easy, it was going to be tough
So he took some weight off our shoulders, and for some that wasn't enough
