A Better Life
How did I get here. When did I find myself starting to realize your lies.
I look into the hazel and I just don't care anymore. I don't know how it got this bad but it did. You had taken everything from me but now I've got even more.
I got my life back on track. I'm finding my heart slowly getting more intact.
I've found myself able to laugh without hating myself for that. I got my life, my love, and my mind accepting your lies and now I truly know I've always been enough. I've searched my demons and faced the facts. You took everything from me and I've got my life back.
If you think I'm gonna stay thinking about you than you are wrong. I'm going to move on very soon. I got a better life now and I'm done.

Now this is the spirit! Love can trample our hearts into the dust but it is up to us to pick it up and carry on. The silver lining of a broken heart is the rich material it provides us for poetry. Love the poem and i hope your broken heart mends perfectly x
Thank you. I actually got a whole lot more and greater things once I left him. I have a poem or two before this that explains what happened when I was stuck with him and before I got out. But I'm so glad I did. I've been out for 3-4 months already and I'm strangely feeling ok. Not great obviously but I'm ok and I don't know how haha
