A Bit of Heaven
Touching the flower, feeling the raindrops, seeing the sun rise, counting the stars at night
A bit of heaven, it is always around us, it gives light to the darkness, it gives song to the sorrow
The sparrows sing, upon the limbs of a hollyhock tree, the bees buzz upon the honey suckle bush
The tender kiss of a child, the touch of the hand, my grandfathers pictures upon my wall
The puddles of mud, from the pouring down rain, the next a rainbow, to make a wish for tomorrow
To be happy, to be sad, to live, to die, to know that time, is precious, to know that life is true
And to know love, to know the meaning, to feel the passion, to have a bit of heaven
In everything we do, is to know the air, it is what we breathe, it is what we need, and I hope you know
How much I need your eyes upon my eyes, your lips upon my lips, just a bit of heaven
Will make each day blessed
