A Dancing Star

A Dancing Star

...for my Lorna

Her eyes awake to greet the laughing sun
His heart recoils ~ rejoinder to her cry
For in that joyful echo, love is won
As flames (emboldened) climb to burn the sky.
The hot impassioned kisses of the flames
Grow frenzied (needful) with embraced desire
Her maidenhead finds godhead still untamed
And leaps with fierce abandon through the fire.
Till now his killer’s heart had known no fear
In darkened caves he’d made his art with blood
And yet it quails and trembles as he tears
the armour from immortal maidenhood.
Forsaken by the gods and cast afar
They now make love beneath a dancing star.

Even though there are two more poems to go...when I wrote this one, I knew it would be the climax (stop giggling!) of the sequence. But I would never be moved to write such poetry without YOU in my life.

I love you Lorna...even as I quail and tremble before you ... Seriously Caizley...stop giggling!!!

All my everything,
your Jason xxx

Wow!! JASON!!...... talk about a Love Poem!!..... geez..., this is filled with blazing, passionate, fiery-adjectives,that make for an extraordinarily compelling piece of romantically fire-breathing poetry!!..... It's like your Love is boiling over and can't wait to find its way onto the page...... just so the histrionics can mellow into beautiful kisses beneath the tree of adoration......I LOVE IT!!.... always amazes me what inspiration comes forth when expressing true Love...... especially by someone who uses words so well!!...... what a beautiful read this was......thanx so much brother!!...... FISTFUL-O-STARS!!.......LOVE and ROCKETS!!......T xo ?β˜€βœ΄βœ³β™₯

Thank you Rose.
Actually, that IS Lorna and me, yes. We had to stand in the freezing cold in that position while the artist waited for the sun to rise and shine at just the right angle!! It was a bloody nightmare!!!
